Goals:

North American Virtual Airways(NAVA) opened its doors on May 19, 1999. Our goal at North American Airways is not to be the biggest, the most popular, or to have the most affiliate airlines. Our goal at NAVA is threefold. One, that all of it’s members from Trainee to President and CEO have fun; two, to run the most realistic virtual airline we are able. And three, to introduce the hobby and love of aviation to new people.

Having Fun:

If it’s not fun, why do it, right? Especially when you're not getting paid for it J . Virtual Airlines are meant to be a hobby, something fun to do to pass the time. NAVA also realizes that everybody has a "Real Life" outside of the VA. Some airlines require it’s pilots to fly a minimum of one flight per week or the pilot is dropped from the roster. At NAVA we are a bit more relaxed, and while we do encourage active participation on a regular basis, one flight a month is all that is required to stay current with us.

Realism:

We believe that part of having fun and enjoying your time at North American Virtual Airways is the option to make your flights as real as possible. In order to facilitate realism at NAVA, we have affiliated ourselves with SATCO (Simulated Air Traffic Control). In this way, a pilot may choose to sign up with SATCO and fly his or her routes with real time, live person Air Traffic Control. Also to better facilitate additional realism, we will be adding the best panels that we can find for our aircraft on the net.

Personal Touch:

North American Virtual Airways believe that an open door policy and a personal touch is the best way to run a virtual airline. For that reason, flight assignments will be handed out personally by your hub manager on a weekly or better basis, as you require them. We use "Real Life" scheduled routes for assigning our flights.

The Future:

What does the future hold? No one can say with certainty, but I am sure that NAVA will continue to grow. However we will not allow NAVA to outgrow it’s roots, meaning that we will hold fast to the qualities with which we started the airline.
